Nudist Etiquette

I just thought I would share a few things regarding nudist etiquette as I find that some people especially those who often claim themselves to be nudists don't really get it on how to properly conduct themselves in a nudist environment.

Well, below are just some of the basic but most significant guidelines when you're in a nudist setting...

Gawking or staring is impolite. If you want to go to a nudist gathering for a thrill, do everyone a favor and buy a magazine instead.
When you speak to people, make sure you look them in the face & not at other parts of their body.
Be aware of your comments & what you say to a person so that you do not offend them.
Maintain body contact at a very professional level. Do not touch a person if they do not let you or are not comfortable with you doing so.

  • Ask & make sure whether bringing cameras are allowed, & ask for people's consent before taking their photograph nude.
  • Whether you're outdoors or indoors, always have a towel in hand to sit on for hygiene purposes.
  • If you're sunbathing nude in a secluded area, leave a bathing suit on a rock to let others know they are approaching an unclothed person.
  • If you're uncomfortable having your suit out of reach, bring a spare.
  • If you're nude on a wide open beach, position yourself in the open so you can see people coming and put something on before they get there if you need to.
  • Get dressed before you leave the nudist venue.
  • Be friendly, but respect others' rights to privacy.
  • Avoid sexual activity. It's illegal and offensive.
  • Avoid consuming too much alcohol at a nudist gathering, as alcohol could make you so something that could regret later on.
  • Absolutely NO drugs in a nudist venue.
  • Advances of an unwelcome or unwanted nature are not acceptable anywhere, and especially in a nudist environment.

I guess just through these points above alone, non-nudists or those who are have been introduced to nudism for the first time, could easily differentiate nudism from other sexually-related activities.

So, if you ever come across somebody who claims themselves to be nudists, try & observe them, & see how closely they follow these etiquette. If they don't, chances are they're more likely to be pervs...
